Earlier today, after a lunch together with friends at Bakmi Orpa, we asked an old man about an old building just across the street. He told us that the building is very old, and the owner aren’t allowed to change the facade and some interiors. Currently someone wants to build an office with the building, and some workers currently working inside.
I asked the guard if we’re allowed to see inside and go upstairs, they said yes, so we went inside. Looking inside, i believe it was a very beautiful house in the distance past. I don’t know what happened after, but hopefully it can get a new life soon.
The guards told me, that the street used to be place for European caring their horses during the colonial era. I don’t know about now, but the street are pretty good looking with many old buildings. Some are abandoned, some are in good conditions.
