Located in one of the most beautiful street of old Jakarta, probably the only pedestrian worth walking in Jakarta that decorated with renovated old buildings that turned into beautiful cafe and restaurants.
Tjikini Sedap Rasa Segala or Kedai Tjikini is one of the cafe that built just a few years ago but have a vintage Jakarta looks and coziness. They don’t put their coffee on an espresso machine, but manually grind the beans and then put it on a presser glass. Served with some sugar and if milk if you request it.
You may choose a wide variation of beans that coming from all around Indonesia, and they also selling beans to go by Indonesian legendaries roasters like Jatinegara, Warung Tinggi, Koffie Fabrik Aroma Bandung and other. If you’re curious about the beans characteristic then you may ask the barista and he’ll help you with good informations.
I love the coffee and Roti Bakar (toasted bread) with Kaya Jam, the bread was so soft and the kaya jam melt deliciously along with the margarine they put on the bread. It was a bliss and so great that i forgot to take a photo of it.
